A common practice across universities that hold equity in a company that IPOs is to sell all of its shares as soon as the lock up expires. But do the best returns necessarily come from selling all your stock immediately? When is the right time to sell stock in a therapeutics company? Join us for a webinar on 'Equity Liquidation After IPO Analysis' where OUP will look at the impact of selling shares of VC-backed therapeutic companies at different points in time: at lock-up expiration, before data release, after data release, and holding for 3-5 years after IPO. For each of these different approaches in managing public stocks, we will examine a data set of therapeutics IPOs from 2010-2019, and further examine a subset of IPO acquisitions from 2015-2019.
