A growing number of institutions across the country have developed set-terms startup express licenses, each with unique terms and conditions. The licenses vary on the financial and non-financial terms they offer, the flexibility of negotiation of their license terms, and their adoption by startups.
Please join OUP for a webinar where three different universities will discuss their experiences with establishing and nurturing their startup express license programs:
• Kelly S. Parsons, Associate Director, Technology Commercialization, UNC
• Ken Porter, Director, UM Ventures-College Park
• John Puziss, Director of Business Development, Yale Office of Cooperative Research
In the Fall of 2019, OUP conducted a short survey of universities that have set-terms express startup licenses. The results from the 10 university respondents will be briefly highlighted. The panelists will expand the discussion of these results by discussing their universities’ experiences and highlighting the critical lessons they have learned for those universities that may want to set up their own set-terms express startup license.
This webinar is free to all of OUP’s academic institution partners.
